Topic: Error when installing

Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/usr/bin/convert) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/yourlog/:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp) in /home/yourlog/public_html/install.php(787) : eval()'d code on line 1

After the circumvention of the error and installed, Enano is not working properly. What's wrong?

Re: Error when installing

The open_basedir restriction is a security setting that restricts PHP's fopen() and related functions to a certain directory. This is so that if there are security vulnerabilities in a script, they can't be exploited to access system files.

Enano's installer apparently violated this by checking the directory /usr/bin, which is outside of that open_basedir jail. It should be a harmless error, but seeing as you encountered other problems it would really help if you could post the following information:

* The URL to your installation
* Your PHP version, or even better, a phpinfo script
* What web hosting service you are using

If you're not comfortable with posting any of this information publicly, you can also e-mail me (support@enanocms.org).

Re: Error when installing

Have you been able to get Enano to actually install properly? e.g. Does the installation including the final "finish" page look like everything goes well? Or are you having trouble getting the installation to work at all?
