Topic: Plugins.

Hi,

Can you tell me if all the plug-ins work with the latest version 1.1.5?

Re: Plugins.

Not all of them do. I've been working really hard lately at bringing plugins up to date with the 1.1.x API. Generally anything with a commit in the last month or so at hg.enanocms.org will work under 1.1.x plus a few others will if you're lucky. (Note: ignore the dates on /repos - that shows the last productive sync, not the last commit; since we just switched servers everything was synced about 8 days ago.) In addition a lot of the plugin pages under http://enanocms.org/plugin have links to 1.0.x and 1.1.x versions.

Plugins that I know work with 1.1.x:
* PunBB
* NewsBoy
* Feed Me
* Snapr
* AjIM
* Linkchomper
* Nuggie (doesn't work on the stable 1.0.x)

Plugins that should work with 1.1.x:
* AdminAlerts
* Poll (Surveyor)

Remember that support is sparse for 1.1.x, but if you're developing or want to take advantage of new features and you can handle a few bugs I'd say go for it.

Re: Plugins.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for the info.

I have tried to install the snapr plug in and I am getting SQL errors with regards the creation of the gallery table.

I use Mysql 5.1.29 rc-community. The problem is with the defaults on the longtext columns. I get an error back saying that defaults are not allowed on these columns.

CREATE TABLE gallery(
     img_id int(12) NOT NULL auto_increment,
     is_folder tinyint(1) NOT NULL DEFAULT 0,
     folder_parent int(12) DEFAULT NULL,
     img_title varchar(255) NOT NULL DEFAULT \'\',
     img_desc longtext NOT NULL DEFAULT \'\',
     print_sizes longtext NOT NULL DEFAULT \'\',
     img_filename varchar(255) NOT NULL,
     img_time_upload int(12) NOT NULL DEFAULT 0,
     img_time_mod int(12) NOT NULL DEFAULT 0,
     img_tags longtext DEFAULT NULL,
     PRIMARY KEY ( img_id )
)

If I remove the defaults and change the php code to include those columns in the insert statements it works.

My question is do you have any idea why my version of Mysql does not allow these? and would it not be better to remove them and change the code to implicitly insert those columns data?

Andy

Re: Plugins.

I know there was a problem with that in the core at one point but I was never able to identify whether that was a MyISAM setting or a bug with specific MySQL versions. I've applied the change you suggested and will test and commit it in the next day or two (lots going on with Christmas and what have you right now).

Do you think you could tell me who your webhost is or, if you're hosting in-house, what webserver stack and configuration you're using? I try to mirror setups as closely as possible to reproduce issues and come up with workarounds, so knowing some of this info would be very helpful.

Re: Plugins.

Hi Dan,

Sorry I haven't replied to this sooner, like you I got caught up in Christmas and New Year.

I am hosting my web and email server myself on a windows 2003 standard server.

My web server is Abyss Web Server X2 by Aprellium.

I have emailed you my PHP setup separately as I can not attach a file to this message.

Andy

Re: Plugins.

Thanks, I'll fire up a Windows environment and see if I can't get Enano to run under an environment similar to yours. From what I can tell it's Windows 2000 and PHP 5.

What your phpinfo message didn't say is which version of MySQL your server is running. Enano will report this on the Special:About_Enano page, so if you could post that version number it would really help. Thanks!

Re: Plugins.

Hi Dan,

It's windows 2003 server standard edition.

Here's the report back from the about page.

Enano version:    1.1.5 (Caoineag alpha 5)
Web server:    Abyss/2.5.9.3b1-X2-Win32 AbyssLib/2.5.9.3
Server platform:    Unknown
PHP version:    5.2.8
MySQL version:    5.1.29-rc-community

There is a freeware version of Abyss web server that will work very well in a development environment.

Andy

Re: Plugins.

Whoops, forgot to re-read your post - didn't realize you had already posted your MySQL version. Sorry about that! I've finished setting up Abyss on a VM so I'll test out Enano and Snapr and post back here when I'm done.

Re: Plugins.

Hi Dan,

Have you had a chance to look at the above and update the snapr download?

Re: Plugins.

I haven't been able to find a copy of MySQL 5.0.29, so I'm planning to test on 5.0.67. Things were a bit busy this week.
