Might be a known issue, but my query words didn't hit.

Some background on my setup:
Ubuntu 8.10
Apache 2.2.9
PHP 5.2.6
MySQL 5.0.67
Enano 1.0.6

When I create a link in the GUI editor and try to save or preview, cpu goes to 100% and after 30 seconds php reaches it's limit and exits.  Then I just get an error telling me that PHP reached it exec time limit and it doesn't save or preview.  But if I use the text editor all is well.

I tried several different configurations with Enano and also tried it in lighttpd.  I'm assuming that it's some kind of incompatability with my version of PHP but I'm not sure.

After this I installed Enano 1.0.5 and it works flawlessly.  Strange.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

BTW, I've been using DokiWiki for several years now and I'm seriously thinking about making a switch to Enano.  Great work on this app!

I've just downloaded Enano 1.1.6 and cannot get it up and running. On the database installation step, after I verify the reqs and click continue, the install script just takes me to the stage=database screen again.

I'm using XAMPP 1.7 and the brief config is:
# Apache/2.2.11 (Win32) DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.2.11 OpenSSL/0.9.8i mod_autoindex_color PHP/5.2.8
# MySQL client version: 5.1.30

"The Enano installer has found a Enano installation in this directory. You MUST delete config.php if you want to re-install Enano."

The last thing I did was rename config.new.php to config.php. With the exception of a few permissions corrections the installation goes smoothly until the Locked issue rears its ugly head.

I came across Enano, which looks great. All my desired features and small, seems simple. Well this is from the site.
I gave it a try but I have a lot of issues trying to install it.

I tried on 2 different machines with the dev version 1.1.5 ( I tried with the stable but with similar issue, or even worse it never accept the database connection):
#1 FreeBSD 6.3 - Apache 10341100 - PHP 5.2.6 - mysql  Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.1.26 (yes apache is oldddd)
#2 Windows XP - LightTPD/1.4.20-1 - PHP 5.2.6 - mysql 5.0.51a  (from http://www.lighty2go.com )

All test were done using both IE6 and Firefox 3.0.6

Issues on #1
The test connection of the DB never return.
If I choose to just proceed, then it fail with some error at the end of install :
     Retrieve administrator password failed
     The administrator password couldn't be decrypted. This really shouldn't happen.

Issues on #2
All install is going fine without error (a few warning about missing imagemagik but that's all).
When the site is started, I got a missing page for the Main page : There is no page with this title yet.
The same apply for any other page or menu entries. Looking into the db, it's empty.
If I try to login (using the menu on the left), it just end up in missing page special.login/main page
It seems something is missing in the db install.

Additional note with #2 I had to change the mysql setting to increase the cache size or it would just make mysql process dying.

Actually the more important would be to have it on #2 to test it. Installing on #1 will come later.

Any idea for the missing page ? Or is that an upgrade so I need to install the stable first and then upgrade ?

Update : I made it working on #2. The root issue was the db setting. By default new db are created in "collation" mode. This is not working with enano. I had to change it to MyISAM utf8_unicode_ci and then it worked fine. You might want to add this somewhere to the doc.

I just installed Enano for the first time and have a problem with just a few things.  I don't know if it's a me , but I can't find any info in the documentation and I don't want to give up yet...  I like the simplicity and ability to customize fairly easily, (I'm not a PHP or Ajax guy, but know a few) so I hope to take advantage.

Here's the issues so far....

1) User Sign Up:  This happens in IE7, IE8 and Mozilla 3.0.5
Can't proceed with user sign up because there is no CATCHA image displayed.  It doesn't matter if the User Sign up is set to None, User or Admin.  Is this as simple as a permission problem with a file or folder?

2) FYI IE8 Display.  Main_Page and others have huge blank between banner and content.

PHP version and a link to a phpinfo script if possible
What plugins and themes are installed on your site
The webserver platform you're using (Windows + IIS, Windows + Apache, Linux + Apache, etc.)
Your MySQL version
Whether you are on a dedicated server (we mean one you have root/administrative access to) or a shared server/VPS
The URL to your Enano installation, if possible

In addition we request that you avoid POSTING IN ALL CAPS or otherwise trying to grab unnecessary attention; if you do so, one of the mods will probably edit your post or lock your thread. Thanks for understanding.
